Daniela Silva

Hi! My name is Daniela Silva. I was born in the city of Ovar, in Portugal. I grew up and lived most of my life in a village called Válega. In 2003 I moved to Coimbra, the city of my heart, where I graduated in Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. In 2009 I attended the Bar Association in the city of Porto and in 2010 I worked at the Ministry of Education, in the Legal Department of a Support Team for Schools in Aveiro. In 2012 I came to the USA. I have been working at a preschool in Newark since 2013. The year I also started teaching Portuguese at the Escola Portuguesa de Union. I am the First Year teacher. I really enjoy teaching Portuguese Language and Culture because it makes me feel closer to my roots. When I’m not at school I like to cook, be with friends, go to the movies, walk around and see new places, listen to music or reading.
